What size Swaddlesport do I need?
Getting your size right is a key first step to successfully using your Swaddlesport Pouch Style Baby Carrier. Our sizing chart, available below or on the back of our packaging, will give you a good idea of what size you need based on your most common t-shirt size.

While most of our customers are comfortable wearing the sizes we recommend on the chart, it is important to know that our sizing takes into consideration a number of factors regarding the adult who will be wearing the carrier. For example, we consider the height, weight, chest size and torso length of the adult carrier when designing our sizes and since these factors vary from one person to another it is possible that you may be capable of wearing two different sizes. However, we recommend that you select the size on our chart that best corresponds with your most COMMON T-Shirt size (the size t-shirt you wear the most of). If you’re choosing between two sizes or are still unsure we suggest you go with the smaller size sling.

How should my sling fit?
Since our sling stretches while being worn it is important that your Swaddlesport fit a bit snug around your body, before child is inserted. The snug fit of the fabric when being worn like a sash may feel a bit strange at first but be assured that this type of fit will provide for the best all around performance and comfort of the Swaddlesport as your child grows and utilizes each of the three carry positions.

Before baby is placed in the sling the tube of fabric should be comfortably snug around your body (Not too loose not too tight).   With proper fit you should be able to pull the outer layer of the fabric tube away from your torso just a few inches, without having to really “stretch” the fabric. If the fabric is too tight around your body and you can’t pull the outer layer away from your torso than the sling may be too small. On the other hand, if you can pull the outer layer away from your body more than approximately 8-10 inches, without “stretching” the fabric, or if the sling hangs down more than a couple inches past your belly button it is too big.

Once the baby is inside the Swaddlesport it should feel more snug but still comfortable. The baby’s bottom should be riding at or just below your belly button but no lower than your hips. If while carrying a baby her bottom hangs below your hips you will need a smaller size so baby can be carried closer to the mid part of your torso. If sling is too tight and you can’t reasonably get the child in the sling you will need a larger size.

Bottom-line you should do what is safe and comfortable for you and your child although we recommend a snug but comfortable (not crammed) fit where the baby is safely seated deep within the pouch of fabric. Be sure child’s breathing is not restricted in anyway and their chin is not tucked into their chest.

Does the Swaddlesport have any buckles, straps, or clips?
No, the Swaddlesport does not have any cumbersome or potentially dangerous buckles, straps or clips. The Swaddlesport is designed for ease of use and is made to form one continuous loop of fabric that does not require any extra fasteners.

How do I use the Swaddlesport Pouch Style Baby Carrier?
The Swaddlesport is as easy to use as it is to store in a diaper bag or purse. We recommend that you carefully review all wear instructions, warnings, and safety precautions before using or learning to use your Swaddlesport Carrier. Visit the Wear Instructions page for additional information.

Will the Swaddlesport stretch out or get bigger over time?
No, the Swaddlesport should not stretch or get bigger over time. The Swaddlesport is made of a flexible polyester micro fiber material that stretches just enough to allow you and your baby the comfort you deserve while baby is being carried or placed in the sling. While our sling stretches a bit during use the inherent characteristics of our technical fabric allow it to always bounce back to its original size and shape once child is removed.

Where is the Swaddlesport baby carrier made?
The Swaddlesport, unlike the majority of baby slings, is made in the U.S.A.

Does the Swaddlesport comply with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act ?
Yes, the Swaddlesport has been tested to ensure its compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, which is enforced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
